“My Patchy Journey To Software Development” Series πŸŒ¦οΈπŸ’»βš‘

2020 Mar 20th

I am all about helping junior developers advance in their career, and beginners to break into the industry. I brainstorm projects every day. I try to come with projects that will benefit these two categories of developers.

Today I am happy to announce that I am starting a new project that will motivate people to keep going! The purpose of this project is mainly to show that there is an uneven road ahead, and not everything is plain sailing. As a developer, you encounter many bumps in your journey, but you have to overcome them. Exactly like in a day-to-day job as a software developer.

OK, WHAT IS THIS PROJECT ABOUT? πŸ€”

I want to interview as many people as possible about their journey to software development. There are so many people with interesting stories that it is too bad not to hear them.

Even I had an interesting journey. I studied accounting, and I was on the road to becoming an accountant or a bank teller. I did not finish high school. I worked in constructions for my father. I used to wash dishes for extra money in a restaurant. I wanted to quit university and programming two times in three years. I barely passed my web development module as well (almost failed it). Yet here I am, working as a software developer.

Thus, I hope these stories are going to motivate people to keep going and never to give up!

DO YOU HAVE ANY PEOPLE IN LINE? πŸ’

You bet. The first people I have talked to are:

But it does not stop here! If you have an exciting story, I am really interested in hearing it! Let people know about the struggles you overcame to become a software developer!

CONCLUSION πŸš€

I hope this project will motivate people. Even if one person is motivated, I consider this project successful.
